Job summary

Ballarat Gold Mine is seeking a motivated and reliable casual Cleaner to join our team in Ballarat, Victoria. The role involves high-quality cleaning and laundry services across the site, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and adherence to BGM policies.

You will work with a diverse team and contribute to a clean, hygienic environment for all personnel. The ideal candidate will have commercial cleaning experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and strong teamwork and MSDS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Commercial cleaning experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Good knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare & process laundry for company & contract staff.
• Return laundered clothing to numbered hooks.
• Clean and maintain offices, corridors, training, muster rooms and other workspaces per schedule.
• Clean and maintain changerooms, shower areas, locker rooms per schedule.
• Clean and maintain toilets and bathrooms per schedule.
• Clean and maintain kitchen areas per schedule.
• Assist with rental property cleaning as directed.
• Scheduled cleaning 3/6/12 monthly as scheduled.

Role:

Ballarat Gold Mine is currently seeking a casual Cleaner to join our team.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to deliver high-quality cleaning and laundry services in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, in accordance with all BGM policies and procedures. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, comfortable, and well-presented environment across the site, contributing to the wellbeing and satisfaction of all personnel.

As a hands-on team member, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with a diverse range of people across multiple disciplines. You will be a collaborative and proactive team player who takes pride in maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• Commercial cleaning experience
• Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to work in a team
• Good knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets

You will also need to demonstrate a high regard for safety, effective communication skills and a capacity for handling multiple tasks in a dynamic production environment.

Duties:

• Prepare & process laundry for company & contract staff.

• Clean and maintain changerooms, shower areas, locker rooms as per the schedule.
• Clean and maintain all toilets and bathrooms as per the schedule.

• Assist with rental property cleaning, as/when directed.
