Job summary

Scotchmans Hill on the Bellarine Peninsula is seeking a casual chef to join our busy kitchen, working alongside the Head Chef and senior staff. The role is primarily Friday to Sunday, averaging about 25 hours per week to support work-life balance.

You will assist with stock ordering, maintain organisation when the head chef is away, lead service when required, and contribute to cooking great produce driven cuisine that complements our estate wines.

Qualifications

• Casual chef with relevant kitchen experience.
• Able to cover kitchen management when needed.
• Lead service when required; strong teamwork.
• Positive, respectful attitude and good communication.
• Average of 25 hours per week, with peak season increases.

Responsibilities

• Stock ordering.
• General organisation when the head chef is absent.
• Lead service when required, coordinating kitchen and floor staff.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation and plating.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and senior staff to execute menus.
