Job summary

Blackman’s Brewery is hiring casual chefs and cooks for Torquay, Ocean Grove, and Grovedale. We’re an award-winning Victorian brewery with busy venues, a high-energy kitchen, and a passion for great beer and food.

Qualifications

• TAFE-qualified (or Certificate III) with enthusiasm to grow in hospitality.
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP standards with a valid certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and reliable attendance.
• Willingness to work weekends and holiday periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes to high standards with quality control.
• Freeze and preserve foods.
• Manage deliveries, stock rotation (FIFO) and assist with stocktakes.
• Maintain clean-as-you-go workflow and complete HACCP/food safety practices.
• Attend weekly team meetings and ensure venue security at shift end.
• Report incidents to staff and managers as required.
• Join busy summer service and support other kitchen staff.
