Job summary

Hanrob Pet Hotels Perth is seeking a passionate Casual Dog Trainer to join our Board & Train program in Perth. You will work Monday to Friday, training dogs in obedience, manners, and behaviour modification while engaging with pet parents to understand goals.

Qualifications

• Formal dog training qualifications (e.g. NDTF) or currently working toward a qualification.
• Passion for dog training and ongoing learning.
• Strong understanding of canine behaviour and body language.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday.
• Willingness to support other areas of the business as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the growth and success of the Board & Train program in Perth.
• Consult with pet parents to understand behavioural concerns and goals.
• Identify additional behavioural needs and provide clear recommendations.
• Develop tailored training plans for each dog's temperament.
• Train dogs in obedience, manners, and behavioural modification.
• Address challenges such as anxiety, reactivity, hyperactivity, and aggression.
• Monitor and document each dog's progress.
• Educate owners on techniques to reinforce training at home.
• Maintain clean, safe training environments.
• Manage bookings, scheduling, and general admin tasks.
• Support client interactions and contribute to training-related sales conversations.
