Description

The Australian Lifeguard Service (ALS) are looking for highly motivated, self-driven casual lifeguards to join our team across multiple aquatic locations in Western Sydney. If you’re passionate about water safety, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and want to make a difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you!

About the role

As a lifeguard, you'll be responsible for:

• Responding to aquatic incidents and providing first aid when required
• Delivering excellent customer service and promoting safe swimming practices.

The role will work alongside the ALS management team and its large pool of lifeguards to ensure successful delivery of the lifeguard service over the key patrol periods.

Some of the key duties will include

Lifeguard Service Delivery: Deliver lifeguard operations within the boundaries of the allocated region

What you’ll need (ALS can provide where required)

• Relevant current qualifications including : SLSA Bronze Medallion / Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) SLSA Gold Medallion or Certificate III in Public Safety (Aquatic Search & Rescue) Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Provide First Aid
• Ability to successfully complete ALS Lifeguard Fitness Assessment
• Substantial experience and technical knowledge of lifeguarding or similar public safety roles
• An understanding of Surf Life Saving procedures, practices, and policies
• A current unrestricted Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and Public Holidays (where required)

Location: Western Sydney locations, including Penrith Beach, Parramatta and Bents Basin

Position: Casual shifts available. Monday-Sunday. Summer school holidays through to the end of April.

• Level 2 / Senior / Apply / Provide First Aid
• Current Provide / Perform CPR
• Advanced Resuscitation
• Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue)
• Gold Medallion / Certificate III in Public Safety (Aquatic Search & Rescue)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and Public Holidays

• Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation
