Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a casual Agi Driver based in the Sydney Metro region. You will drive a concrete agitator truck, start early each day, and deliver quality service to customers across the area.

Training spans 10 days with experienced drivers before you operate solo. You will engage with customers daily, maintain vehicle presentation, and adhere to safety and medical requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have HR licence (essential) with HR driving experience preferred.
• Current Construction White Card or willing to obtain before start.
• Must pass pre-employment medical including a drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Drive a concrete agitator truck for Heidelberg Materials across the Sydney region.
• Interact with customers on-site and deliver quality service.
• Work a casual roster with early starts (5–6am) and training before solo driving.

What's the Job Like?

• Location: You'll be based out of our Sydney Metro region.
• Hours: This is a casual position and most rostered days will start between 5-6am.
• Pay: We pay a base hourly rate of $43.35 (inc. casual loading) on a weekly pay cycle.
• Overtime: Overtime kicks in at time and a half after 8 hours, and double time and meal allowance after 10 hours in a day.
  - Overtime rates are calculated off our standard rate of $34.68. ($52.02 for time and a half / $69.36 for double time)
• Customer Interaction: Driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You'll meet lots of different personalities every day, so being comfortable with new people is a must.
• Training: All new hires go through a 10-day training program with our experienced driver trainers before hitting the road solo.
  

About You:

• Licence: You must have a minimum of an HR licence (essential) with previous HR driving experience (preferred).
• White Card: You will have a current valid Construction White Card or be willing to obtain one before you start.
• People Skills: You enjoy meeting people and having a chat when you're onsite.
• Variety: You prefer variety in your work. No two days are the same when you're driving one of our Agi trucks.
• Pride in Your Ride: You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keeping it clean and presentable is important-you are a mobile billboard for our company.
• Medical Check: Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg sites).
• Safety: Some of our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts. For safety reasons, you may need to be under a specified weight for these trucks.

• Base hourly rate of $43.35 per hour inclusive of casual loading + penalty rates + allowances + super.
