Job summary

VMCH in Wantirna, VIC is looking for an enthusiastic Casual Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality resident care and support the care team. You will supervise ENs and PCAs, uphold professional standards and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enable residents to participate in their daily activities.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse with relevant qualification and experience.
• Experience assessing aged care residents and formulating care plans.
• Understanding legislation governing residential aged care and nursing practice.
• Knowledge of AN-ACC, safety, food handling and related standards.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Effective verbal and written communication with residents and families.
• Self-motivated with ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to residents and meet daily care needs.
• Supervise and direct ENs and PCAs to ensure best practice and empowerment.
• Demonstrate professional, collaborative practice and safety compliance.
