Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking General Labourers and Casual Trade Assistants for ongoing casual roles across construction, landscaping and industrial sites in Sydney. If you’re reliable, physically fit and seeking regular shifts with reputable employers, we want to hear from you.

You'll work across diverse tasks, from site prep to assisting trades, with immediate start dates and opportunities to move into permanency as assignments prove themselves.

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• Current Driver Licence and reliable transport
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Assist across a variety of industries including landscaping, construction, warehouse fit-outs, shopfitting and carpentry
• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• General labouring duties and assisting qualified tradespeople
• Container unloading and site tidy-ups

Minimum $35.11 Per Hour + Super + Daily Travel Allowance | Immediate Start

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries including:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
