Job summary

CareSouth is seeking a Caseworker to join our team in Wagga Wagga on a fixed-term basis up to 30 June 2027. This role offers either full-time or part-time hours, with responsibilities across the child protection spectrum and opportunities to support safety, healing and positive family outcomes.

You will build meaningful relationships with children, families and community partners, demonstrate commitment to safeguarding, and work autonomously within a high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Social Work or Psychology or Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare or equivalent qualification, or working towards one.
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues facing vulnerable children and their families.
  • Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communications skills.
  • Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and NSW Child Protection.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Willing to undergo National Police Clearance and NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Work across the child protection spectrum from family preservation to adoption.

About the Role

What yo uneed to be successful in your role:
