Job summary

Avhouse Carpentry is offering two apprentice carpenter positions in Melbourne. These roles suit recent school leavers and provide hands-on training across framing, lock up, fix, external cladding and decking under the guidance of qualified tradespeople.

Eligibility includes Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full working rights; you will learn on the job while contributing to a busy crew. Applicants should be willing to commit, arrive on time and travel to the work site as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to undertake physically demanding work.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Very keen to learn.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in carpentry.
• Ability to get to and from work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with framing, lock up and fix tasks under supervision.
• Support external cladding and decking installations.
• Learn carpentry trades from qualified tradespeople and follow safety practices.

Avhouse Carpentry has an opportunity for 2 apprentice carpenters to join the team. These positions would suit recent school leavers.

We specialise in all aspects of carpentry from framing, lock up and fix to external cladding and decking.

To be successful you will need to have the following:

Preferred but not essential:

• Driver licence & Own car
• A white card
• Completed a pre-apprenticeship
