Job summary

NSV Electronics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced carpenter for security-system installations in the Greater Sydney Area, including Warwick Farm. You will construct timber supports, backing structures for CCTV and alarm hardware, and coordinate with technicians on site.

The role requires 5+ years of carpentry experience, and an Australian Certificate III in Carpentry or higher. You will travel to client sites and contribute to high-quality, safe installations.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of Australian Certificate III in Carpentry or higher qualification.
• At least 5 years of work experience as a carpenter.
• Experience constructing and installing timber supports and backing structures for CCTV cameras and security gear.
• Experience installing and repairing door frames and timber components for security hardware.
• Experience with constructing wall frames, partitions, ceilings and bulkheads for security equipment.
• Ability to coordinate carpentry tasks with security technicians, electricians, builders and other trades.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans and specifications.
• Cut, drill, fix and assemble concrete, brick, timber, plasterboard and other materials.
• Coordinate carpentry works with security technicians, electricians and other trades.
• Construct and install timber supports and backing structures for CCTV cameras and security equipment.
• Manufacture and install timber structures, frames and panels for electronic security equipment.
• Install, modify and repair door frames and timber components to accommodate security hardware.
• Construct and install wall frames, partitions, ceilings and bulkheads to support security equipment and concealed cables.
• Perform building repairs and refurbishments; ensure compliance with safety procedures.
