Job summary

Delaware North Australia is seeking a full-time Carpenter to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. You will handle carpentry tasks and general maintenance across resort facilities, applying safe work practices and delivering high-quality results.

The role requires a Certificate III in Carpentry, a current driver's licence, and proven maintenance experience. You will work with a collaborative team on a remote island, with training opportunities and a focus on safety.

• Certificate III in Carpentry is essential.
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence.
• Relevant maintenance experience in a similar role.
• Skills working both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to take initiative, organise, and prioritise daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance manager by working alongside technician team members in the repair and maintenance of facilities, property, grounds, and equipment.
• Assist with facility projects and improvement progress.
• Follow all standard operating procedures in line with Delaware North company policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment by assisting with implementation of occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
