Job summary

Modus Projects is seeking an experienced Handyman / Carpenter for a full-time role across multiple site locations in the Sunshine Coast region. You’ll perform preventative and reactive carpentry tasks, inspections, and a mix of joinery, repairs, and installations, supporting our commercial clients.

Travel between sites, overtime and after-hours roster, with a supportive head office. We value reliability, safety, and a willingness to work in retail, education, health, hospitality, and government

Qualifications

• Carpentry or similar trade qualification is required.
• Experience in commercial or retail building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• National police check and medical assessment will be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventative and reactive carpentry services across multiple sites.
• Inspect sites and carry out tasks including partitioning, ceiling grid, plasterboard repairs, painting, tiling, and doors/hardware repairs.
• Travel between sites within Sunshine Coast radius and work with head office support.
• Work overtime and be part of an after-hours roster as needed.

About the Role

You’ll be on the road, attending a variety of sites throughout the day, including Retail, Banking, education, fuel and convenience, health and fitness, corporate, hospitality, Government, and Petroleum sites.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyman / Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis in various locations.

You’ll deliver a mix of preventative and reactive carpentry services across our key commercial clients. No two days will look the same. You’ll travel between sites completing inspections and tackling a variety of works including partitioning, ceiling grid, plasterboard repairs, painting, tiling, concrete work, door and hardware repairs, flooring, joinery, and kitchen installations. You’ll be backed by a dynamic and responsive Head Office team to ensure you have the support you need to get the job done well.

This role will also be required to do overtime when required and be part of an after-hours Roster to meet our client needs.

Locations we are recruiting for:

• Sunshine Coast – Candidate will be travelling within a 200km radius from this location

Key Requirements:

• Relevant Carpentry or similar trade qualification.
• Experience working in commercial or retail building maintenance
• Valid driver's license.
• A national police check and medical assessment will be required as part of the recruitment process.
• Tech savvy - Comfortable using mobile apps and tablets
• It’s a bonus if you hold additional tickets such as First Aid, EWP, Working at Heights, Blue Card or WPCG
