Job summary

Mount Isa City Council invites applications for a hands-on Carpentry and Facilities Maintenance role. You will contribute to the construction, maintenance and servicing of Council buildings, facilities and infrastructure across the Mount Isa area.

The successful candidate will be trade-qualified in carpentry with demonstrated maintenance experience, strong safety practices and the ability to work across multiple sites, including emergency repairs and preventative tasks.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified with demonstrated experience in an equivalent role or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance.
• Sound literacy and numeracy to maintain servicing records and timesheets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and complete carpentry works.
• Monitor cost and quality of projects and report to Facilities Coordinator.
