Job summary

Vassallo Constructions in Mackay, Central Queensland, seeks an experienced trade-qualified Carpenter to join our local building team. You will undertake carpentry and related works, read plans, and work under the Building Supervisor with independence and team collaboration.

The role offers long-term employment and varied hands-on projects in a supportive, locally based team. A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Demonstrated experience as a qualified Carpenter.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable, practical and hands-on approach.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

Vassallo Constructions is a family-focused, locally owned construction business that has been operating and growing successfully in Central Queensland since 1997.

As we continue to expand our building operations, we are seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Carpenter to join our Mackay-based building team.

We are looking for a competent and reliable trade-qualified Carpenter who takes pride in their workmanship and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Carpenter who is happy to take direction from the Building Supervisor but also has the experience and initiative to be given a job, understand what needs to be done and confidently get on with it.

You will work as part of our growing building team, reporting to the Building Supervisor.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking all aspects of carpentry and general building works
