Job summary

Nurse Next Door Rockhampton is hiring caring professionals to deliver compassionate home care across the Rockhampton region. You will work one-on-one with clients, providing personal care, companionship, and healthcare support in their homes.

We value attitude and a can-do spirit, with flexible hours to fit your availability. A nurse-led clinical team offers backup support, and we arrange meet & greet introductions before your first shift.

Qualifications

• Attitude and a can-do spirit are essential.
• Valid First Aid & CPR certifications are required or willingness to obtain.
• NDIS Worker Screening (yellow card), Blue Card (WWCC), and Police Check within 12 months are needed.
• Valid Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle suitable for client transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, meal prep, medication management, and daily living support.
• Offer companionship and community access to clients across the Rockhampton region.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans established by RN care designers.
• Coordinate transport and support for client outings and activities.

The Role: Clinical Expertise meets Heart-Centered Care

Working one-on-one with clients across the Rockhampton region, you will provide a premium care experience ranging from basic companionship to complex nursing.

• Holistic Support (Caregivers/AINs): Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal prep, medication management, community access, manual handling and light housekeeping.

• Clinical Care (Nurses): Manage wound care, catheter care, and medication while monitoring complex health needs.

• Community Connection: Provide companionship and transport for community outings and social engagement.

• Documentation: Maintain thorough, accurate records and follow care plans developed by our RN Care Designers.

What You’ll Need

We hire for attitude and a "can-do" spirit.

• Caregivers: Minimum Cert III in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care.

• Compliance: Valid NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card), Blue Card (WWCC), and National Police Check (within 12 months).

• Safety: Current First Aid & CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).

• Transport: Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle appropriate for transporting clients.
