Job summary

CareWays Community is seeking experienced Care Workers to support elderly clients in their own homes. The role reports to the Care Worker supervisor and offers a range of services including domestic assistance, personal care, social support, shopping, respite and transport to appointments.

We have casual and permanent part-time positions with hours from 7am to 5pm depending on availability. You will join a supportive care team and receive travel time allowances, a smartphone, uniform and other

Qualifications

• Completed certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, aged care, community care or disability.
• Current first aid certificate.
• Driver's licence and reliable car with full comprehensive insurance.
• Smart phone and basic understanding of how to use apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance and personal care to elderly clients in their homes.
• Deliver social support, shopping and transport to appointments.
• Assist with respite care and coordinate with the care team for guidance.
• Maintain records and report any changes to the supervisor.

Job description

CareWays Community are seeking experienced Care Worker to provide support to our elderly clients in their own homes. This role reports to the Care Worker supervisor and provides a range of services to our elderly clients to support them to remain in their home. These services can include domestic assistance, personal care, social support, shopping, respite and transport to appointments.

We have casual and permanent part-time positions available, hours of work range from 7am to 5pm depending on your availability.

About you

To be considered you must have:

• Completed certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, aged care, community care or disability.
• Current first aid certificate
• Driver's licence and reliable car with full comprehensive insurance
• Smart phone and basic understanding of how to use apps
• CareWays pays for your travel time and kilometres between clients, plus Smart phone, uniform, laundry and other allowances

Remuneration

Position is subject to award conditions under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 as Home Care Employee Grade 3 ($36.23 per hour plus loading if applicable).

Phone, uniform and laundering allowance provided as well as travel time between clients and kilometres ($1.01 per km).
