Job summary

Respect Aged Care is seeking an experienced Care Manager to lead clinical and operational care in a residential aged care home in Maleny, Queensland. You will supervise registered nurses, enrolled nurses and personal carers to deliver resident-focused care with high service standards.

You will plan, allocate and delegate duties, manage resources within budget, and champion a culture of innovation and collaboration to support residents to live life with dignity and choice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Nursing (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in residential aged care.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Act standards and compliance.
• Current National Police Certificate.
• Ability to lead and supervise nursing staff.

The Opportunity:

We're on the lookout for skilled and enthusiastic Care Manager to join the team at Maleny Erowal in Maleny, Queensland on a full-time basis.

As a valued member of our dynamic clinical team, you'll be pivotal in delivering safe, competent, and contemporary clinical care to our residents. Moreover, you'll play a crucial role in providing supervision and support to registered nurses, enrolled nurses and personal carers, ensuring a resident‑centric approach and high level of customer service.

The Care Manager is responsible to plan, allocate and delegate duties and facilitate the delivery of care according to documented policies and procedures. The Care Manager will contribute to the effective administration of human, material and fiscal resource management according to budgetary requirements. The Care Manager will use their high-level clinical skills and knowledge as an experienced Registered Nurse to achieve best practice clinical standards, while providing strong leadership in a resident-focused care environment. They proactively contribute to building a workplace culture that embraces innovation and collaboration in order to support our residents to 'live life as they choose'.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a minimum Bachelor Degree in Nursing (RN) for all aged care facilities.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Minimum 3 years' experience in residential aged care.
• Working knowledge of the requirements of the Quality Agency Standards, Specified Care and Service Principles of the Aged Care Act, Documentation Standards, Residents Rights, Aged Care Funding Instrument and other relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practices.
• Sound clinical knowledge and skills in accordance with contemporary practice.
• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).

Desirable

• Previous nursing management experience.
• Experience and involvement in accreditation processes.

To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
