Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. You will provide patient-centred nursing care across the procedural journey, from pre-procedure prep to post-procedure recovery, supporting a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures.

The role requires current AHPRA registration and experience in acute cardiac or Cath Lab settings, with strong assessment, teamwork, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and recent acute cardiac or Cath Lab experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Postgraduate qualification in critical care is desirable.
• Experience with coronary angiography, PCI, device implantation, or electrophysiology procedures is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including pre- and post-procedure care.
• Respond to emergencies and acute clinical situations in Cath Lab.
• Circulate and/or scrub for cardiac catheterisation procedures.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists and nursing staff to deliver patient-centred care.
• Maintain patient safety, infection prevention and clinical documentation.
• Participate in on-call service where applicable.
