Job summary

The Andersen Partnership is seeking a Property Associate / Senior Associate to join our growing Canberra property team. This role suits a 3–6 year PAE property lawyer who will cover leasing, development, acquisitions, sales and general property matters.

You will act for landlords and tenants, advise on ACT leasing legislation, and work across development-related transactions, commercial property acquisitions and sales with a high degree of autonomy.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years PAE in property law.
• Strong knowledge of ACT/NSW property and leasing legislation.
• Experience acting for developers/builders would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act for landlords and tenants across commercial leasing matters.
• Advise on ACT leasing legislation and related property matters.
• Work across property development and development-related transactions.
• Advise on commercial property acquisitions and sales.
• Manage a broad range of general property transactions.
• Assist with off-the-plan sales, structuring and other property matters.
• Work with developers, builders and real estate professionals.
• Handle matters from start to finish with a high level of autonomy.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the property practice.
