Job summary

Performance Drivers Pty in Canberra is seeking a senior EH&S leader to take ownership of safety across major projects. You will plan, implement and continuously improve EH&S across multiple sites, working with project management, supervisors, installers, engineers, subcontractors, clients and regulators to build a strong safety culture and ensure WHS compliance.

This permanent on-site role requires a minimum of five years in EH&S management or advisory roles, experience in construction or field

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an EH&S management or advisory role.
• Experience in project-based, field services or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice and applicable standards.
• Experience developing, implementing and auditing EH&S management systems.
• Strong incident investigation and root-cause analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on EH&S leadership across multiple project sites
• Conduct site safety walks, Toolbox Talks and safety audits
• Develop, review and approve SWMS, risk assessments, Take 5s and safety plans
• Lead incident, near-miss and accident investigations and track corrective actions to completion
• Deliver site inductions, onboarding and EH&S training
• Coach managers and supervisors to strengthen safety leadership
• Facilitate EHS committee meetings, represent the project at client EHS meetings, and deliver monthly performance and trend reporting
• Drive continuous improvement across EHS systems, processes and documentation
