Job summary

Concordia Lutheran College – Toowoomba is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the coordination, maintenance, safety and presentation of the College. You will oversee Grounds, Maintenance, Cleaning and Motor Vehicle operations, ensuring facilities are safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard.

The role reports to the Business Manager and involves managing internal teams and external contractors to keep facilities, grounds and assets safe, functional and aligned with College

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in facilities, grounds or maintenance management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate diverse teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, contractor compliance and asset management.
• Ability to manage budgets, procurement and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Facilities & Grounds Management — Lead the Grounds and Maintenance Teams, oversee daily operations, set weekly tasks and monitor progress.
• Contractor Coordination — Point of contact for external mowing, landscaping and cleaning contractors; ensure inductions and compliance.
• Cleaning Oversight — Manage the Cleaning Team and coordinate external cleaning services.
• Motor Vehicle Fleet Management — Oversee maintenance, registration and compliance of the vehicle fleet.
• Administration & Finance — Prepare budgets, procurement, review contracts and liaise with finance.
• Workplace Health & Safety — Lead WHS practices, inspections, SOPs and hazard reporting.
• Risk & Compliance — Ensure compliance with legislation and building requirements; report changes.
