Job summary

Seven West Media Limited in Perth is seeking an experienced ENG Camera Operator to join our News Team. You will film segments and stories across locations, including aerial footage, and assist with editing to deliver high production quality.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, willingness to travel on short notice, and a valid manual driving licence. Flexible hours and on-call work may be required.

The Opportunity:

Seven currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced ENG Camera Operator to join our dynamic and talented News Team in Perth. We are looking for someone who possesses a high level of creativity and a camera/ editing style consistent with metropolitan television.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be responsible for filming segments and stories in various locations and aerial footage.
• In addition, this position will also support with editing segments and stories.

What you’ll bring:

• You will be an experienced Camera Operator with a drive and passion for high production quality standards and the ability to think clearly, communicate, and act quickly under pressure requiring minimal supervision.
• You will be an exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skill and the ability to form credible, productive relationships with Reporters and Producers.
• Experience in News and on-air operations.
• A willingness to travel at short notice to cover breaking news.
• An unrestricted manual driver’s licence.
• Flexibility ability to work irregular hours.
• This position may require some on call/ out of hours work.
