About the role

Provide high‑quality nursing or midwifery care in Child and Family Health Service, delivering client‑centred services, supporting staff and students, and contributing to safe, evidence‑based care. Work within multidisciplinary teams under general supervision.

Key duties of the role
  • Assess client needs and provide person‑centred nursing/midwifery care
  • Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines and agencies
  • Support student learning, staff orientation, and preceptorship
  • Participate in quality improvement, risk minimisation, and safe work practices
  • Provide guidance to less experienced staff and support team leadership
Skills and Experience
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with current AHPRA registration
  • Proven competence in safe, high‑quality nursing/midwifery care
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and apply creativity and flexibility in care
  • Knowledge of legislation, standards, quality improvement, and client‑centred care
