Virgin Active in Sydney is seeking an energetic cafe team member to deliver outstanding member experiences through warm service and meticulous attention to brand standards. You’ll greet members, assist with their needs and create memorable moments while serving food and beverages with care.

Maintain a sparkling cafe environment, handle queries and feedback, and ensure safety and quality across all items. Flexible scheduling supports a balanced lifestyle with a renowned fitness brand.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience.
• Able to work non-traditional schedules and maintain a high standard of service.
• Warm, genuine and people-focused with a proactive attitude.

• Welcome members and help them find what they need.

• Prepare and serve food and beverages per menu offering and maintain quality.
• Ensure the cafe area is clean and well-maintained, including washing dishes and surfaces.

This gig is all about delivering breathtaking customer service and ensuring extraordinary member satisfaction in all café interactions.

A day in the life

• Welcome members and help them find whatever they need or whatever they’re looking for.
• Provide heartfelt service and create personal experiences in line with our customer experience strategy and brand standards.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages in line with the menu offering.
• Ensure quality levels are maintained on all food and beverage items being served.
• Ensure all interactions are warm, queries are answered and feedback and complaints handled effectively.
• Ensure the café area is sparkling by cleaning all areas, washing dishes, changing bins, mopping the floor and wiping surfaces so they’re flawless.
• Advocate safety and ensure an overall safe environment for members and team members (with specific focus on food and beverage regulatory compliance).
• Find ways to give that little bit extra… especially when it’s unexpected.

• You have 2+ years of relevant customer service or hospitality experience, a neat freak reputation and flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule.
