We have opportunity for :
  • Cadet prepared to enrol in an Associate Degree / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or approved equivalent)

Under direct supervision you will learn drafting and design skills and will become competent using appropriate software nominated by your peers. The software may range from AutoCAD, Revit 12d, Plant3d, Advance Steel, Inventor or Solidworks.

Key responsibilities of these positions include :
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings using AutoCAD and or other 3D design/drafting software in the field of engineering.
  • Collaborating with senior team members on various technical tasks and taking guidance in support of your role.
  • Developing your knowledge of GHD’s Digital Design Manual and other relevant systems tools and processes.
  • Developing your knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
  • Attending TAFE or University and maintaining requirements of a Traineeship or Cadetship which will include a combination of work‑based training and formal training.
What you will bring to the role :
  • QCE (or equivalent) completion with strong academic results in Mathematics and English
  • Experience in AutoCAD desirable but not essential
  • Strong desire to build a rewarding career as a professional drafter/designer
  • Well‑developed communication skills and a proven attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills coupled with a positive attitude and a desire to learn
  • Genuine interest in technical drawing and engineering
