Jacobs is seeking a Cadet Civil Technical Office to join our Cairns Civil & Aviation team. You will support design element preparation under the guidance of senior drafters and engineers, gaining exposure to all phases of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Studied Graphics or equivalent subject during high school senior studies or current university studies
• High achievement in Mathematics and English preferred
• Understanding of spatial mapping advantageous
• Enthusiastic to learn and work within a team

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cadet Civil Technical Office to join our Cairns Civil & Aviation. In this role, you will support the preparation of designs for civil design elements under the guidance of senior drafters and designers. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and project managers, gaining exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle. You will be learning about local standards, technical guidelines and regulatory requirements, and you will be contributing to high‑quality outcomes and working with other technical disciplines. You'll work alongside our Senior Consultants providing meaningful input on across our Civil & Aviation team – and we’ll mentor you each step of the way to ensure you’re set up for success.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Studied Graphics or equivalent subject during high school senior studies or current university studies with high achievement
• High achievement Mathematics and English preferred
• Understanding of spatial mapping advantageous
• Enthusiastic to learn and work within a team
