Job summary

Fitzgerald Jenkins Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support trade lifecycle processes across a critical clearing platform for fixed‑income products, including bonds and repos. You will collaborate with business, technology, operations and risk to understand requirements, analyse trading and post‑trade processes, design solutions and drive delivery from concept to BAU.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ dedicated Business Analysis experience.
• Experience across Agile, Lean and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of trade processing, workflows, settlement and reporting.
• Experience with fixed‑income products, particularly bonds and repos.
• Knowledge of post‑trade processes and lifecycle events.
• Experience with FIX, JSON and XML messaging and integration.
• Knowledge of SQL and integration technologies such as IBM MQ and REST APIs.
• Experience with SWIFT integration and Austraclear settlement processes.
• Knowledge of SWIFT ISO 20022 and ISO 15022 messaging, including MT54x messages.
• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• A proven ability to work across the full SDLC, from early ideation through to delivery and BAU embedment.

• Work with delivery teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Support integration initiatives involving FIX, JSON, XML, SWIFT and related technologies.
• Collaborate with technology, operations, risk, product and project teams in a matrix environment.
• Contribute to testing, implementation, change management and the transition of solutions into business‑as‑usual operations.
• Identify risks, resolve complex problems and support continuous process improvement.

In this role, you will work closely with business, technology, operations and risk stakeholders to understand requirements, analyse trading and post‑trade processes, design effective solutions and support the successful delivery of system changes from initial concept through to implementation and business‑as‑usual operation.

About you

You will be a confident and collaborative Business Analyst with strong experience delivering technology and process initiatives in complex environments.

You will bring:

• At least five years’ dedicated Business Analysis experience.
• Experience working across Agile, Lean and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of trade processing, workflows, settlement and reporting.
• Experience with fixed‑income products, particularly outright bonds and repos.
• Knowledge of post‑trade processes and bond and repo lifecycle events.
• Experience with FIX, JSON and XML messaging and integration.
• Knowledge of SQL and integration technologies such as IBM MQ and REST APIs.
• Experience with SWIFT integration and Austraclear settlement processes.
• Knowledge of SWIFT ISO 20022 and ISO 15022 messaging, including MT54x messages.
• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Desirable experience
