Job summary

Snowy Hydro is inviting school leavers to join our team as Business Trainees in 2027, based in Cooma, NSW. This 12-month, full-time traineeship lets you earn while you learn and gain an accredited Certificate III upon completion.

You will work on-site at our Cooma office, with mentors supporting you every step of the way to build practical skills and a strong network across the business.

Responsibilities

Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to over 1.5 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy.

We are looking for school leavers to join our team as Business Trainees in 2027, based in Cooma, NSW. A traineeship with Snowy Hydro is a unique opportunity to complete a Tertiary qualification whilst gaining real world, on-the-job experience.

About the location:

This position is a 100% on site role, based in our Cooma office, NSW, working Monday to Friday.

As a trainee, you will:

be employed on a full-time 12-month contract and be paid to learn while expanding your knowledge and experience (adding valuable skills and experience to your CV)

upon successful completion of your course, have gained an accredited Certificate III

be working with experts in their field, who will teach, mentor and support you through every step of your traineeship

build a supportive peer network with all levels within the business to share your ideas and experiences
