Job summary

Hudson invites applications for a Business Architect role with a Queensland State Government agency, Brisbane region, hybrid 50% office/50% home. Initial contract 19 Oct 2026 to 15 Oct 2027.

The successful candidate will lead the design and adoption of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) capability on the OpenText platform, shaping ConOps, information architecture, and future-state operating models while engaging stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Information Architecture and operating models to support ECM design.
• Experience guiding ConOps development and strategic adoption.
• Knowledge of OpenText ECM platform and related governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of the ECM Concept of Operations (ConOps).
• Facilitate operational modelling activities to define future-state business operations.
• Engage stakeholders across the organisation to align on future operating models and processes.
• Design practical adoption pathways that support organisational transition and user acceptance.
• Identify opportunities to optimise ways of working while aligning with constraints.
• Provide expert guidance for Information Architecture designs supporting the OpenText ECM solution.
• Support the transition towards a modern ECM architecture and operating model.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and governance bodies to progress information architecture objectives.
• Ensure IA decisions support organisational needs, compliance requirements, and future-state capabilities.
• Provide input into Managed Service Design activities where required.
• Ensure alignment between ConOps and end-user support models

Job Title: Business Architect
Initial Contract: 19/10/2026 – 15/10/2027
Location: Brisbane Northern Suburbs – Hybrid (50% office / 50% home)

Our client is a large, complex and service-focused Queensland State Government agency. The Business Architect will provide specialist information management and business consulting services to support the successful design and implementation of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) capability delivered on the OpenText platform.

The role is primarily responsible for managing the development of the Concept of Operations (ConOps), ensuring the solution aligns with organisational objectives, operating models, and business practices while establishing a practical and sustainable pathway to adoption.

The position also provides expert advice and stakeholder engagement to support Information Architecture (IA) design activities and contributes to Service Design activities to ensure alignment between operational processes and end-user support models.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Manage the development of the ECM Concept of Operations (ConOps)
