Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Senior Business Analyst specialized in Identity and Access Management to drive a multi-year modernization of an enterprise IAM platform from Brisbane. In this role you will combine deep IAM expertise with stakeholder engagement to shape architecture decisions and guide implementation partners.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of dedicated experience as a technical IAM specialist delivering large-scale identity projects.
• Hands-on experience with centralised IAM solutions (Okta, Ping Identity or Entra ID) and directory services like Active Directory.
• Knowledge of identity protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed, SCIM) and RBAC/ABAC models.
• Proven ability to produce end-to-end design specifications and technical docs.
• Industry qualifications such as Okta Certified Professional or Azure Identity and Access Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed technical discovery of IAM components (SSO, MFA, policy ingestions, federated services).
• Document designs, perform options analyses, and prepare decision papers.
• Support deployment and transition of services to the new IAM platform with the partner.
• Lead cross-functional alignment meetings with technical and business stakeholders.

Senior Business Analyst - Identity and Access Management Specialist

Are you an experienced Business Analyst specialising in Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects looking to make an impact on a multi-year modernisation program? In this role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a modernised enterprise identity platform. You will combine deep technical IAM expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills, collaborating closely with architects, analysts, and implementation partners to discover requirements and guide key architectural decisions. This long-term contract is an exceptional opportunity to tackle complex identity challenges and potentially evolve your career towards enterprise architecture.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct detailed technical discovery of core IAM components, including systems of record ingestion, access policies, MFA, SSO, and federated services.
• Document and assist with detailed designs, architecture options analysis, and key decision papers.
• Partner with the implementation partner to assist with the deployment and seamless transition of services to the new modernised IAM platform.
• Lead and facilitate technical and business alignment meetings across both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide expert technical advice, operational guidance, and reporting to support project managers, architects, and operational IAM teams.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• At least 5 years of dedicated experience working as a technical specialist within an enterprise IAM team delivering large-scale identity projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise with centralised IAM solutions (such as Okta, Ping Identity, or Microsoft Entra ID) and downstream directory services like Active Directory.
• In-depth knowledge of identity protocols and standards, including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed, SCIM provisioning, RBAC, and ABAC models.
• Proven ability to produce comprehensive end-to-end design specifications, options analyses, and technical documentation.
• Relevant industry qualifications, such as Okta Certified Professional or Azure Identity and Access Administrator (or equivalent).
