Job summary

Forvis Mazars in Australia is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Accountant to join the North Sydney Business Advisory team. You will deliver a broad range of advisory services to local and international clients, contributing to a fast-growing practice.

You’ll work with MYOB, Xero and Class Super, mentor junior staff, and develop your career through formal learning and promotions. The role offers a collaborative culture, clear progression, and opportunities across global markets.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in Business Advisory/Services or Tax Accounting in Australia.
• Experience with mid to large-size clients across diverse industries.
• SMSF experience ideal.
• Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent.
• Interest in CA/CPA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summary and loan summaries for corporate and family groups, including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Individuals & SMSFs.
• Prepare payroll tax returns, FBT returns, and activity statements.
• Collaborate with senior business services accountants and junior staff.
• Delegate and review junior work.
• Liaise with clients and external service providers.
• Develop knowledge via U Learn, Forvis Mazars learning platform.
