Job summary

CK Recruitment Pty Ltd is recruiting Bush Regeneration Field Officers for a Northern Suburbs council. The role focuses on maintaining sensitive bushland, weed and pest control, and requires license to use chemicals.

You will work in a team on a 9-day fortnight roster with RDOs on every second Friday. Applicants should have related experience, relevant tickets (Chem Cert, Chainsaw, WHS White Card, licenses), and be physically fit for extensive manual work.

Job description

Local Council in the Northern suburbs are looking for experienced Bush Regeneration Field Officers to join their Bushland and Conservation teams.

The position will involve maintaining the councils sensitive bush land environments.

We are looking for candidates who have an interest in Bush Regeneration, Pest Control and Weed Control and who are prepared and licensed to use chemicals (Roundup). Having an interest in pest animal control would be a great advantage also.

The successful candidates will work as part of a team doing maintenance weeding and is best suited for someone who has a keen interest in native plants and conservation, its meticulous work and is not suited to everyone.

The role is on a 9 day a fortnight roster with every second Friday as an RDO

To be successful for this role you may have;

• Chem Cert
• Small plant experience (Ride on Mowers)
• Pest Control experience
• WHS White card
• Chain Saw Ticket (Highly Desirable)
• C Class Drivers Licence
• MR Truck Licence (Highly Desirable)
• Physically fit - plenty of manual work involved

Required Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and conservation of a natural environment in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation of bush regeneration and weed/pest control
• Demonstrated practical experience in the use of maintenance and plant such as 4WD's, Chainsaws and brush cutters
