Busways Group is hiring full-time Bus Drivers for our Lonsdale and Seaford depots, offering a 4-week paid training program to build on your heavy vehicle skills and turn you into a confident professional driver.

We welcome applicants with an HR licence or above, with good driving history and strong customer service. A $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid induction, and ongoing training are part of the package, along with flexible shifts and career progression.

Qualifications

• Current and valid driver’s licence (Medium or Heavy Rigid highly desired but not essential).
• Large Passenger (LP) accreditation is highly desired (or willingness to obtain).
• Good driving history and clean record.

• Safely operate bus services for passengers.
• Deliver quality customer service and curbside assistance.
• Complete required pre-employment medical, criminal history, and working with children checks.

Hold a heavy rigid (HR) licence or above? We offer a 4 week paid driver training program that will build on your current heavy vehicle skills and knowledge to navigate the roads as a professional Bus Driver.

About the role

We currently have multiple positions available for Full Time Permanent Bus Drivers at our Lonsdale and Seaford depots. We are looking for passionate people who enjoy driving and want to service their community, whilst delivering the best experience possible to our customers.

A little bit about our rates!â¯

• Permanent: $30.62 per hour Weekday (shift loadings - range dependant on times of operation throughout the shift)
• Permanent: $45.94 (Sat) $61.25 (Sun) $76.56 (PH)â¯

Hours of work

Our drivers must be willing and flexible to work various shifts, that may include weekends, early morning and late-night shifts.

The majority of shifts available for full-time drivers are worked as split shifts. Split shifts work by providing two portions of work to cover peak service times morning and afternoon/evening. Please note the below periods are a general time frame in which a split shift portion may operate, durations of shifts vary. All shifts comply with National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and the applicable Enterprise Agreement.

• Morning: 5:00am - 11:30am
• Afternoon/evening: 2:0:0pm - 8:00pm

Outside of these hours you can leave the depot to head home or run errands, or you can choose to stay at the depot and take advantage of our driver facilities.

There are also some straight shifts that may be available with shifts starting at varied times of the day, from morning, afternoon or evenings.

All depots operate seven days per week with most weekend work available as overtime.

Eligibility to apply

• A current and valid driver’s licence (Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid Licence highly desired but not essential).
