Job summary

Busways is hiring casual Bus Drivers at our Laurieton depot. You’ll serve the community, provide a great passenger experience, and work flexible morning/afternoon shifts. Training is provided and you’ll be supported in a stable, security-focused environment.

Eligible applicants should have a current NSW driver licence (Medium Rigid or above), a good driving history, and a willingness to undergo checks. Retirees or part-timers are welcome to apply for additional hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Medium Rigid or above driver's licence and clean driving history.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses to service community routes and ensure passenger safety.
• Deliver friendly, high-quality customer service and assist passengers.
• Abide by NSW road rules, company policies, and conduct pre-employment checks as required.

About The Role

We currently have multiple positions available for Casual Bus Drivers at our Laurieton depot. We are looking for passionate people who enjoy driving and want to service their community, whilst delivering the best experience possible to our customers.

A little bit about our rates!

• $41.01 per hour Weekday (shift loadings â range from 15% - 100% dependant on times of operation throughout the shift)
• $18.79 attendance allowance paid daily

Hours of work

Hours of work and shifts vary from depot to depot. Our casual drivers typically work a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon during the school term. In school holidays there is very limited work available.

These hours are often suited to retirees wanting to re-enter the workforce or supplement income. It is also a fantastic opportunity for people working part-time and wanting more hours.

Eligibility to apply

• A current and valid Medium Rigid or above driver’s licence
• A good driving history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check.
• Have a current NSW Driver Authority is highly desired (or be willing to obtain one)
