Job summary

Kogarah Community Services Inc. is seeking a reliable Casual Bus Driver to transport primary school children to and from our Before and After School Care service based at Carlton South Public School and nearby schools.

Hours align with school terms: 8:00-10:00 and 14:00-16:00, with potential shifts during holidays. You will complete safety checks, maintain the vehicle, and ensure proper pickup and drop-off, while adhering to child-safety requirements and license checks.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Light Rigid (LR) driving licence.
• Must have a current Working With Children Check.
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Proven reliability, punctuality and professional presentation.
• Ability to interact positively with primary school children.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children in a 21-seater bus.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks.
• Assist with keeping the bus clean.
• Ensure safe pickup and drop-off procedures.
• Maintain a child-safe environment on all runs.
• Arrange for vehicle service and registration inspections as required.

Casual Bus Driver – Before & After School Care

Kogarah Community Services Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Casual Bus Driver to transport primary school children to and from our Before and After School Care (OSHC) service based at Carlton South Public School and surrounding local schools.

This role is ideal for someone seeking part-time school hours with the opportunity for additional shifts during Vacation Care.

Hours (School Terms)

• Morning: 8:00 am – 10:00 am
• Afternoon: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Additional work may be available during school holidays.

A qualified Childcare Educator accompanies children on all bus runs.

About the Role

• Safely transport children using our 21-seater bus
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks

• Take our vehicles for service and registration inspections

About You
