Job summary

Biosis Pty Ltd is seeking a Built Heritage Consultant to join our NSW team. You will apply your expertise to a diverse range of projects, report to the Manager – Heritage (NSW), and contribute to project delivery through team involvement, project management, site investigations and client liaison.

You will lead and provide specialist built heritage advice, develop technical reports, and assist with winning projects, with opportunities to work across NSW offices and lead varied projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Planning, Heritage, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in the heritage sector.
• Experience in consulting, ideally within built heritage or related fields.
• Full working rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
• Experience in architectural focused heritage work; not archaeology.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical information.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; build stakeholder relationships.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with authorities, communities, clients, landowners and the public on assigned projects.
• Prepare high quality reports and provide technical built heritage advice.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
• Interpret current regulatory requirements and explain implications to clients.
• Conduct historical research to support built heritage assessments.
• Support team development by helping junior staff understand Biosis' processes.
• Advise management on project opportunities and identify potential work to develop and win new projects.
