Job summary

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Broadcasting Operator within the Parliamentary Broadcasting Services section, Digital Recording Services Branch. This role focuses on delivering live broadcasts of parliamentary proceedings and committee hearings from Parliament House and interstate locations, supported by a team committed to high-quality AV services.

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Broadcasting Operator position within the Parliamentary Broadcasting Services section, Digital Recording Services Branch. Parliamentary Broadcasting provides a range of broadcasting services (television, audio and AV) to the Australian Parliament.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic professional with demonstrated experience operating broadcast and audiovisual equipment in a live production environment. As a PSL4/5 Broadcasting Operator, you will be part of a team responsible for delivering live broadcasts of parliamentary proceedings and committee hearings, both within Australian Parliament House and at interstate locations.

You will also support the delivery of audio-visual services across Australian Parliament House. Experience in live television production, including single or multi-camera operation, live audio production, or audio-visual services, will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will work as part of a dedicated team, demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality broadcasting and audiovisual services.

Job Specific Requirements

• The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
