Boatrocker Brewers & Distillers in Melbourne’s southeast is seeking a hands-on Brewer to join our small, tight team. You’ll be across production from brewing and cellaring to packaging, with safety and efficiency at the forefront.
We value craft, curiosity, and the ability to work independently as well as with others. RSA is required and experience across a range of beer styles, including barrel-aged projects, is highly regarded.
Boatrocker have been putting out one of the most diverse ranges of beers for 17 years now, from traditional British and European ales to crisp lagers, hoppy IPAs and barrel-aged, mixed-ferment rarities.
If you're a brewer who would enjoy the challenge of making so many different styles, they're hiring.
Boatrocker Brewers & Distillers is an independent, family-owned craft brewery and distillery based in Melbourne’s southeast. Founded in 2009 by Matt and Andrea Houghton, we started outgypsy brewing and selling beer from the back of a car. Seventeen years later, we’re still rocking the boat.
We’ve built a strong reputation for quality and innovation, and we’re known for pioneering Australia’s first dedicated barrel room and cellar door, as well as for running one of the largest barrel-ageing programs in the country. Our range spans hop-forward pales and IPAs through to complex Belgian styles, sours, and barrel-aged beers like the much-loved Ramjet Imperial Stout.
We’re a small, hands-on team that values craft, consistency, and curiosity.
You’ll be hands-on across all aspects of production — brewing, cellaring, packaging, and general brewery duties. This is a practical role for someone who already knows their way arounda modern craft brewery and can work efficiently and safely as part of a tight team.
If you have the experience, the licences, and the work ethic, we’d like to hear from you.
Boatrocker Brewers & Distillers is an equal opportunity employer.
The Crafty Pint is an independent online magazine and resource for anyone interested in craft beer in Australia. We bring an honest, old-fashioned journalistic approach to beer's brave new world, telling stories because they're worth telling, not because someone is paying us to write them.
We believe in authenticity, integrity, enjoyment and love, and hope to play a role in helping good beer, brewed by good people, find its way into the hands of more drinkers.
