Job summary

EVT Group in Cairns is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain guest rooms, public areas and hotel facilities to high cleanliness standards.

You will clean rooms, replace linens, restock supplies, and assist with laundry while ensuring safety and hygiene practices. Availability for weekends and evenings is required.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Replace linens and towels as needed and ensure cleanliness.
• Restock amenities and ensure items are stocked and replaced as necessary.
• Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and common spaces.
• Report maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance Team.
• Handle lost and found items according to hotel policies.
• Respond promptly to guest requests to enhance their stay.
• Assist with laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens.
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols and use PPE and cleaning chemicals.
• Be available for flexible work hours, including weekends and evenings.
