Job summary

Christian Dior Couture seeks a Host for the Christmas peak period in our Australian boutiques. You will act as a frontline ambassador, greeting clients, managing boutique flow, and ensuring a luxurious, welcoming experience while coordinating with Sales Associates and Assistants.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in luxury retail or hospitality, are fluent in English, and maintain a polished, professional demeanor under pressure during busy periods.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience within luxury retail, hospitality, or customer service environments.
• Hospitality or front-of-house background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and register arriving clients, creating a luxury, warm, and tailored hospitality atmosphere.
• Manage boutique traffic flow and queue coordination during peak periods to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Assess client needs on arrival and direct them to appropriate team members for introductions.
• Monitor waiting areas, keeping clients informed and comfortable while awaiting staff assistance.
• Deliver front-of-house hospitality including refreshments and maintaining pristine reception areas.
• Brief the selling team on incoming clients to enable personalized, smooth consultations.

THE ROLE

As a Host, you will act as a frontline ambassador of the Brand, delivering an exceptional and welcoming front‑of‑house client experience. You will support and assist Sales Associates and Sales Assistants by managing initial client touchpoints, overseeing boutique flow, coordinating queue management, and ensuring clients are comfortably settled and prepared for their interactions with the selling team.

This is a temporary casual Host role, supporting our boutique teams and clients throughout the Christmas peak period.

Job responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet, welcome, and register arriving clients, ensuring an immediate atmosphere of luxury, warmth, and tailored hospitality.
• Manage boutique traffic flow and queue coordination efficiently during peak trading periods to maintain a seamless and orderly client experience.
• Assess client needs upon arrival, providing immediate comfort and directing or introducing them appropriately to available team members.
• Monitor waiting areas proactively, ensuring clients are kept informed and comfortable while awaiting a Sales Associate or Sales Assistant.

Client Comfort & Hospitality Services

• Deliver an exceptional front‑of‑house hospitality experience, coordinating refreshment services and attending to client needs during their boutique visit.
• Maintain pristine presentation and professional standards across all boutique waiting and reception areas.
• Anticipate visitor requirements, offering attentive care to ensure every client feels valued from the moment they enter.
• Support in‑store communication to ensure smooth transitions from the reception area to the selling floor.
• Prepare clients prior to their introduction to Sales Associates or Sales Assistants by understanding their initial inquiries and product interests.
• Brief selling team members effectively on incoming clients to facilitate personalized, seamless consultations.
• Support front‑of‑house operations by handling initial general client inquiries and directing after‑sales queries to the appropriate departments.
• Collaborate closely with the selling team to ensure efficient client handover and high standards of service execution.

Brand Representation & Compliance

• Represent the Christian Dior brand with integrity, passion, and professionalism at all times.
• Adhere strictly to internal boutique procedures, safety guidelines, and company standards.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with Sales Associates, Sales Assistants, and the wider boutique team to enhance overall operational flow.

Profile

Education & Professional Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary education or above.

Work Experience:

• 1–3 years of relevant experience within luxury retail, hospitality, or customer service environments. Hospitality or front‑of‑house background preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Excellent command of communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanour.
• Possesses a service‑oriented mindset, welcoming presence, and a natural instinct for client hospitality.
• Able to remain calm, organized, and gracious under pressure during high‑traffic periods.
• Passionate about the luxury fashion industry and delivering exceptional client experiences.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
