Job summary

ModuSpec is seeking experienced BOP Surveyors to support inspection, verification and rig intake projects across Australia and the wider region. You will provide independent assurance of well control equipment to support safe and compliant drilling operations.

Responsibilities include inspecting BOP systems, reviewing maintenance records, witnessing function tests, and preparing client deliverables. Travel across Australia and internationally is expected, with opportunities across multiple rigs

Qualifications

• Proven experience with BOP systems in drilling operations.
• Understanding of BOP components, control systems, and testing practices.
• Willingness to travel across Australia and internationally.

ModuSpec is seeking additional experienced BOP Surveyors to support inspection, verification and rig intake projects across Australia and the wider region, in line with growing demand.

Role

The BOP Surveyor will provide independent assurance of well control equipment, supporting safe and compliant drilling operations.

• Review of maintenance systems, certification and technical documentation
• Witnessing and verification of function and pressure testing
• Support to rig intake, commissioning and operational assurance scopes

• Liaison with offshore and onshore personnel as an independent representative

Requirements

• Proven experience working with BOP systems within drilling operations
• Strong understanding of BOP components, control systems, and testing practices
• Experience reviewing maintenance records and certification documentation
• Background with a drilling contractor, OEM, or inspection/service provider
• Strong reporting skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel across Australia and internationally

Relevant industry training and previous surveyor or inspection experience are preferred.
