Job summary

Michael Page Australia is seeking a hands-on Finance Officer for a permanent, full-time position based in Brisbane inner-suburbs. The role covers bookkeeping, payroll, and reporting, with broad exposure across finance and stakeholder engagement.

You will manage AP/AR, payroll, compliance (BAS/PAYG), and assist with monthly and year-end reporting, contributing to process improvements and system enhancements within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, payroll and reconciliations.
• Experience preparing BAS and managing compliance obligations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Experience across multiple entities or client portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate employee payments
• Complete bank, balance sheet and corporate credit card reconciliations
• Prepare BAS, PAYG and other compliance-related submissions
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and management reporting requirements
• Support year-end processes and external audits
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to process improvements, systems enhancements and best-practice finance operations
• Provide support and guidance across the broader finance team when required
