Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking a trades-qualified professional for a casual FIFO maintenance role supporting rolling shutdowns across FMG, Rio Tinto and BHP sites. Point of hire is available from any Australian capital city, with potential to transition into ongoing project rostered work.

You will perform shutdown maintenance on crushers, conveyors and fixed plant, undertake structural welding and fabrication, and read drawings to complete tasks safely.

Qualifications

• Valid Australian-recognised trade certificate.
• Ability to pass a weld test.
• WHS certifications: Working at Heights and Confined Space within 3 years.
• Gas Test Atmospheres within 5 years; Basic Fire within 4 years.
• White Card, driver’s licence and right to work; site inductions highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support rolling shutdowns across FMG, Rio Tinto and BHP operations.
• Perform shutdown and maintenance activities on crushers, conveyors, screens and fixed plant equipment.
• Complete structural welding, fabrication, repairs and component replacements per site specifications.
• Carry out maintenance on chutes, bins, hoppers, guards, handrails and conveyor systems.
• Read and interpret drawings and work packs to complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.

About the Role
