Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and trade-qualified Boilermaker to join a growing team based in Newborough, Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining boilers, pressure vessels, and structural steel components. You will work to precise engineering specifications in a hands‑on workshop environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality manufactured products.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a trade-qualified position requiring hands‑on experience in boilermaking and structural fabrication. You will be working from engineering drawings to manufacture and assemble a range of components, with a strong focus on quality, precision, and workplace safety. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Fabricate, assemble, and weld structural steel and pressure vessel components
  • Work to tight tolerances to ensure precise and accurate outcomes
  • Perform quality checks on finished work to meet required standards
  • Operate and maintain relevant tools, equipment, and machinery safely
  • Follow all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
  • Identify and report any defects, hazards, or non‑conformances
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker (Certificate III or equivalent) is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to read and fabricate from engineering drawings
  • Proven capacity to work consistently to tight tolerances
  • High standard of welding skill with ability to pass welding assessments
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S practices and commitment to a safe workplace
  • Must be able to pass trade tests covering welding and engineering drawing comprehension
  • Experience with structural steel fabrication and pressure vessel work is advantageous
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
