Job summary

Barto Gold is seeking a Boilermaker to join its Western Australian processing plant maintenance team. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will perform welding, fabrication, and preventative maintenance on fixed plant equipment, driving adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will operate ARC/MIG welding equipment, read drawings, and support shutdowns with contractors. A valid WA manual licence and relevant trade qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience on processing plants and fixed plant maintenance.
• Experience with ARC and MIG welding and oxy cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Weld and cut on fixed plant maintenance including tanks and chutes.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools for welding tasks.
• Weld mild steel and stainless components and perform weld repairs.
• Assist maintenance team and contractors during shutdowns.
• Record work, manage parts, and ensure safe storage of equipment.
• Identify hazards and participate in risk assessments.
• Maintain compliance with safety, QA, and pre-employment checks.
