Job summary

AE Gibson and Sons Pty Ltd – Port Macquarie NSW is seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our workshop team. You will fabricate and weld custom machinery, read drawings, and contribute to varied engineering projects, from fabrication to installation where required.

Ideal candidates have proven welding experience, the ability to interpret drawings, and a safety-focused approach. Full-time role on site with opportunities for site work and skill development in a family-owned historic

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fabricator.
• Proven fabrication and welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• MIG/TIG welding experience.
• Commitment to quality, safety and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with industrial machinery or heavy fabrication would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld custom machinery and structural components.
• Measure, mark out, cut, fit and assemble components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• MIG/TIG welding, grinding and finishing.
• Assist with site installation and maintenance when required.
• Maintain high safety and workshop standards.
• Collaborate with fitters, machinists, engineers and electricians.
