Job summary

The client is a well-established engineering and fabrication business offering a modern workshop environment focused on precision workmanship, safety and quality. You will fabricate, weld and assemble steel components for crane beams and hoists, working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances and applicable specifications.

Based in the workshop, you will perform machining, cutting, bending, rolling, grinding and drilling tasks, contributing to specialised projects with rigorous quality

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Boilermaker with workshop fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings independently.
• Experience working to tight tolerances and specifications.
• Competency across cutting, bending, rolling and assembly fabrication processes.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to complete pre-employment medical and Police Check.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Base in the workshop and perform high-quality fabrication, welding and assembly work.
• Build crane beams and hoists with full fabrication, mechanical fit-out and testing.
• Work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct machining, cutting, bending, rolling, grinding and drilling of steel components.

Your new role

In this position, you will be based in the workshop, completing high-quality fabrication, welding, and assembly work. You will be involved in the build of crane beams and hoists, including full fabrication, mechanical fit-out, and testing. The role requires working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications. You will also undertake a variety of tasks including machining, cutting, bending, rolling, grinding, drilling, and assembling steel components.

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualified Boilermaker
• Strong fabrication experience in a workshop environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings independently
• Experience working to tight tolerances and specifications
• Competency across fabrication processes including cutting, bending, rolling and assembly
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical & Police Check
