Job summary

Bellevue Gold Limited, at the Bellevue Gold Project near Leinster, WA, is recruiting a Boilermaker/Welder for full-time 12-hour shifts on a 8 days on/6 days off roster. You’ll fabricate and repair plant components, support maintenance, and help ensure safe, efficient operation of processing facilities.

The role requires a Certificate III in Engineering- Fabrication Trade, 4+ years’ experience, a C-class licence, and tickets (Crane, Dogging, EWP, First Aid, Forklift) are desirable.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate as Boilermaker/Welding with Fabrication focus.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role on mining sites.
• Understanding of general mining operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide fabrication and weld repairs to minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventative and planned maintenance to meet targets.
• Adhere to task instructions and procedures consistently.
• Comply with OHS and Environmental Management Systems.
• Assess risks and ensure safe working practices prior to tasks.
• Report hazards and incidents to Supervisors promptly.
• Maintain housekeeping and efficient workshop practices.
• Process maintenance orders and labour time entries; requisition parts.
• On-call component as required.

Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL)operates its 100% owned high-grade Bellevue gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has a long mine life and is forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces a year.

Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks production with exploration in progress to expand the current high-grade resource.

The Bellevue Gold Mine is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold, lithium and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and operating major gold mines.

The focus of the Boilermaker / Welder role is to provide quality and timely fabrication and welding repairs of the processing facilities and assist in carrying out routine maintenance tasks in the plant and other areas of the operation as required; while ensuring operational targets are met in a safe, environmentally compliant and efficient manner

This position is offered on a full-time basis, working 12 hours per day on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster at our Bellevue Gold Project outside of Leinster WA.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting the efficient operation of the production facilities by providing reliable fabrication and weld repair knowledge, expertise and practical application, to minimise down time and subsequent loss of production.
• Ensuring the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by applying effective preventative maintenance practices through scheduled inspections, adjustments, and timely repair of plant equipment.
• Maintaining a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrating full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management Systems by developing and participating in initiatives, toolbox meetings, investigations, training, assisting with the implementation/contributing to audits.
• Ensuring work practices and the place of work are maintained, by evaluating associated risks and hazards of each task prior to the commencement to ensure safe working environment and the utilization of correct equipment.
• Reporting all safety hazards, environmental hazards, incidents, damage, breakdowns and potential plant or equipment stoppages to a direct Supervisor or area Supervisor as soon as is practicable.
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops and wherever maintenance work is carried out, to contribute towards a safe work environment, efficient operation of the facilities and to reduce the risk of incidents or injury and the existence of potential hazards.
• Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders, recording of labour time, etc. through the efficient utilisation information management systems.
• An on-call component as required.

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience/Competencies:

• Certificate III in Engineering- Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker/Welding)
• Manual "C" Class Drivers Licence
• Crane, Dogging, EWP, First Aid and Forklift tickets are desirable
• Understanding of general mining operations
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Well-developed time management skills
