Job summary

South Yarra BMW, part of the Jowett Motor Group, is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our premium automotive team. You will deliver high-quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs across BMW vehicles to the highest standards.

The role operates on 4-day rosters (38 hours across four days) with day and evening shifts available, providing excellent work-life balance and opportunities for ongoing training and career progression within the JMG family.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, Mechanic, or in a similar automotive trade role.
Relevant automotive qualifications and/or trade certification.
Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, with a commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across BMW vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and manufacturer guidelines.
Complete scheduled servicing and inspections to a high standard.
Identify and communicate any additional repairs or maintenance requirements.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in line with BMW manufacturer standards and workshop expectations.
Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate effectively with the workshop and service teams.
Work efficiently to meet repair timelines while maintaining attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.
Collaborate with technicians, service advisors and other workshop team members to support a seamless customer experience.
